Yes, and that's why we insist on fat and meat from grass-[u]finished[/u] 
animals.
Available in the U.S.A. Elsewhere, use the least poisonous animal fat; I 
don't believe that rendering coconut meat would fit the leisurely life 
of paleoman, or the nutritional requirement.

Search the archives here for pemmican. It's the best fit for all paleo 
requirements, including good taste and texture. The missing nutrients 
are in the iodine protocol.
