I think the key here is to *not* give the animals names.  How can anyone eat
an animal that has been given a name and probably called by that name?  It's
much too personal.  I don't think I could do it.  As a child I had a pet
chicken I called Tiny.  There is no way I could have eaten her.  Oliva
