There are a few non- invasive tests to see if you're lactose 
intolerant (LI). Do some cheeses and milk bother you more than others 
(soft cheese worse than hard cheese)? There's also a breath test. 
(see link below)

Much of the world's population is lactose intolerant, or lose their 
tolerance to lactose as they get older.
I also have dark eye circles and stuffy nose after having milk and 
cheese products, so I have researched some of the info. Start at the 
site below, and browse around. Steve Carper has had this site going 
for at least the last 10 years, and it's very complete.
