Does anyone know if this is OK to take for milk protein allergic children?

My very milk allergic daughter went through a similar bacterial infection and treatment when she was very small.  I gave her the powdered Acidophilus to try to restore the "good bacteria."  That worked well for us without any obvious ill effects.
