The smaller (4mg?) chewable version does not have any milk products and that what I insist on for my very casein allergic (anaphylactic) child. My doctor says she won't react to the sugar (lactose), but I don't want to take the chance.

My husband is casein intolerant and was recently given samples of
Singulair. Singulair, however does contain lactose monohydrate in
it...Lactose isn't a problem for him, but what I'm trying to find out is
if he might react to lactose monohydrate. I've called Merck and they
won't give me an answer (didn't even know what casein was...) and I've
called a pharmacist and he didn't know either. Does anyone have any
experiences? Thanks for your help.
