Thanks all for your comments - I am new to this mailing list and it is such
relief to hear your comments! i have a five year old who has several food
allergies. i suspected milk allergy during breastffeding, but he was
extremely allergic to soy formula at the same time. Goat's milk was the
answer for him. A holistic practitioner rcommended it, stating that it is
the closest thing to breast milk. My son did great on it and still does.
Difficult to find and often expensive, I found a local farmer who sold it
to me by the gallon and I learned how to pasteurize - a very simple heating
process you can do on your stovetop.  Now, I buy powdered goat's milk to
use in cooking.
