Don't know about the US, but most standard mayonaise in the UK and
Europe is milk free (at least, last I looked at the labels in the
supermarket it was - I prefer the taste of the cheapest though, so thats
what I buy, so I haven't checked any of the others lately).

Anyway, saves anyone having to go to the trouble of making the
alternative ;-)
