Well, I beg to differ because that's exactly what happened to me.  I had
to eliminate dairy from my diet while nursing my allergic/intolerant
daughter.  When I weaned her and tried to eat dairy again, I became
severly intolerant.  Not lactose intolerant, but protein.  I now cannot
even tolerate trace amounts of dairy in things without abdominal
repercussions.  I had no problems with eating dairy before I stopped.
