correct me, please, if my info's wrong, but everything i have from food allergy network does not indicate that lactate is necessarily dairy ¯ tho lactalbumin, lactalbumin phosphate, lactoglobulin, lactose, & lactulose are all listed as dairy... i believe lactate's a salt derived from lactic acid (which is just an acid & not necessarily dairy)....and calcium lactate's the additive that's in many non-dairy products w/ supplemental calcium. (& don't know if this is an authoritative source per se, but zukin's book "raising your child without milk" lists lactic acid as non-dairy, too...)

Can you please elaborate?

The calcium enriched lists "calcium lactate" as an ingredient and does
not have a hechsher mark (at least those that we get in Toronto).

We buy Tropicana instead.

Best wishes,
Alex.
