   The senior women wing representative Haji Yam Secka  first thanked God
   three times
   and she rhetorically said that, the reason she thanked God the almighty
   is simply that,
   rallies like this in  Brikama don’t come along easily.

   She said, Yahya Jammeh’s misinformation about freeing women is bogus. *“A

   **president who endlessly imprison the husbands of women, their brothers,
   the
   **Uncles, sons, fathers, etc, how can such a President said, he brought
   freedom
   **to Gambian women?”**

   *We have women all across the country crying because of the cost of
   maintaining their
   family. The groundnut produce hardly sells and even it was bought in
   takes God knows
   when the money gets paid. *“This is the legacy of a President who sees
   Gambian
   **women a tool to make **him **win power and continue tormenting them and
   their
   **children.”**
   *

She said, “My advice to Gambian women is that, get out and register
yourself, your children, extended family. Juch get
everybody to get a voters card. And if you get the voters card, don’t sit
home and let Yahya win again. You have the
power to unseat him.”

*“Women don’t fear!!, if you fear anything, then you don’t have faith”!!!.
We must all stand firm and make change
happen.* You all know that, there is no rule of law here, no human rights
and women’s right. Therefore come out in
2011 and vote UDP to change the terrible state. The reputable human right
lawyer will shield you, protect you and give
you all the rights you deserve.”
