Cous Fankung,

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you recognize waning affection for you as
you claim in your statistics, would that not be good enough reason to work
harder if public affection is your desire?? You and I therefore encourage
Hon. Ousainou to redouble his efforts and for members and well-wishers of the
UDP to work even harder for the recognition and grace of all Gambians.
Including you my cousin. Don't sell yourself short. If I were you I'd demand
that whoever seeks my vote earns it. Don't worry about the vote of others.
Suntou is coming after YOUR VOTE for The UDP. APRC is not a good home for
your vote. Trust me. If you don't vote for UDP, we want to make sure you vote
NRP.

Haruna.

Suntou,
You will never stop at anything.. right? Why can't you understand that
Gambians are tired of UDP? For your information, your mansa's popularity has
been dropping since he first contested. Here is the summary...
1996 =  35%
2001  =  32%
2006 =  26%

Based on this trend and the fact that Jammeh's approval ratings are high,
he could fall by another 10 percentage points in 2011. Stop kidding
yourself, UDP today is different from UDP in 1996. Plus, your mansa only make
noise when elections are nearing... He is dormant for the other times....

Happy New  Year!!!

Introducing The UDP-Sweden Chapter

UDP Party Leader

The United Democratic Party of the Gambia in her efforts to bring the
party closer to the Gambian Diaspora in Scandinavia in general and Sweden in
particular, has given me the mandate to coordinate and facilitate the
activities of the party here in Sweden. On that note, I pay a special thanks to
the UDP-UK Chapter for believing in me, the party executives in the Gambia,
party sympathisers and well wishers around the world.
I have taken this very honorable portfolio after standing and propagating
as a neutral political commentator for the past almost ten years. The drive
behind taking this position is based on a careful and long time analyses
and performance of the Gambia's biggest opposition party under the leadership
of  Alhagie Ousainu Darboe.
The continuous support of the people of the Gambia enjoyed by the party is
a clear proof that the UDP is the party to recon with. I join the party in
solidarity with the majority of the Gambian people behind the Gambia's
most dedicated and envisioned human rights lawyer, to safe the mother land
from the claws and beaks of the vulture government that thrives on inducing
fear, terror and countless human rights abuses for the past 16 years.
In our struggle through democratic means and with the support and backing
of our sister opposition parties, the UDP-SWEDEN hopes to engage the Gambian
 population here to facilitate the formation of the next government of the
republic of the Gambia come 2011 national elections. Ours is opening
dialogue through contacts and communication with all who wish to understand our
position.
We hope to reach you here in Sweden directly or through your families and
friends here. In the name of the UDP of the Gambia and UDP /Uk, the
UDP/Sweden wishes you all a merry Christmas and happy new year of change for the
Gambia.

Kebba Abdoulie Sanneh
UDP/Sweden
