 Cous Fakoo Fakoo,

WHy you would mention Hamat's name in the same breath as Yahya is beyond me. I am reminded however that someone recently cross-carpeted from NRP to APRC and alleged that while at NRP, he was tasked with registering Senegalese citizens to vote in Gambian elections. I had encouraged Hon. Hamat to file suit in the law courts of Gambia to both clear his good name and to prosecute the illegal registrations completed by that idiot. I also encouraged Hon. Hamat and all opposition parties and APRC to take the matter up with the IEC.

Hon. Hamat did announce that he intends to challenge the man.

I have always wondered where these and those "confidences" issues from.

Lemme know what the latest is on this egregious matter.

Haruna. Don't worry too much about manufactured crowds for now. Let me handle that. That Hon. Mai Fatty looks great dudn't he??? That is one handsome man. Cous, how come you're not handsome like all Darbo cousins?????? I'm beginning to have my doubts if you're really my cousin!!!!!!!!!!

Haruna,
What is your analysis of the crowds following UDP. As a student journalist in Form 5, I toured with Darbo in 1996. The crowds were more impressive.. Now it appears is a bunch of kids following him. Hamat and Jammeh are attracting better crowds. What do you think.. I think Darbo is begining to regret not joiningi a coalition... he is abandoned!

The last names mentioned in this article do not sound Kiang-ka to me. They may be staying there but cannot influence decisions at the grass-root level and no one knows that better than jammeh, fooling himself. Short of coming out with the results of an already RIGGED elections the fool knows very well that Kiang cares the heck of him.

SO let me get this straight; Jawara says his house was burned because of his support for the opposition. But he will withdraw his support from the opposition because they did not console him for his loss??????????????? Nevermind the folk who burned his home down. Allahuwakubaru!!!!!!!!!!!!! And Jawara WAS a KEY UDP politician in Kiang?????????????? I would kick myself for NOT CONSOLING myself. This guy was a key figure in the opposition....Those who are supposed to do consolings and stuff. Is Jawara well?????????????
Jawara narrated his tasteless and painful experience with the opposition UDP, informing the gathering that his house was burnt as a result of his support for the opposition. He noted that he was surprised that none of the party members, notably its leadership had visited him to console him after that incident.

Note: when we use en-mass we spell it en-masse.

Haruna. I didn't do it. It was the French idiots. Scout's honor. Its like bonhomie and circumstance.

Once an opposition stronghold, Kiang West in particular, the people of Kiang have declared as “dead” the existence of the opposition in the area, and thus indicated their readiness not to be left behind in the support for the ruling Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC).

The Kiangas, who promised to manifest their change in the upcoming November 24th Presidential Election, were speaking Friday afternoon in Nyorro Jattaba where the touring ruling party leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh met his supporters and sympathisers at a political rally as part of the ongoing presidential election campaign.

First to mount the podium to address a well-attended meeting was the chief of Kiang West, Omar Gibba, who told the APRC high-powered delegation that the entire Kiang has “changed” from the opposition to the ruling party.

Chief Gibba reminded his people that they have to pay back President Jammeh in the November polls in view of the developments brought to their doorsteps such as schools and health facilities, amongst others.

He opined that the availability of schools from all categories has made it possible for their children to stay and acquire basic education in Kiang without moving an inch.

Assuring that they will manifest their change at the polls, the Kiang West chief hailed the Jammeh-led government for the provision of potable water supply in a number of villages in Kiang West. He also applauded the APRC leader’s sympathy for the poor.

One Keluntang Jammeh, a UDP defector who hails from Janneh Kunda in Kiang West claimed that he used to disturb the APRC politics in the area due to his active role as an opposition militant.

His reasons for supporting the opposition, he told the keenly listening APRC delegation, was due to what he called a “UDP devil in my heart”. Jammeh asserted that he has now switched allegiance to the ruling party along with all his supporters or followers in his village.

Another key UDP politician defector, Fafanding Jawara, from Nema village, Kiang Central also declared the “death” of his former opposition party in his village and Kiang Central in general, stating that they [the opposition] have no room in the area.

Jawara narrated his tasteless and painful experience with the opposition UDP, informing the gathering that his house was burnt as a result of his support for the opposition. He noted that he was surprised that none of the party members, notably its leadership had visited him to console him after that incident.

This, he said, made him to wonder if they [UDP] will be concerned or have the interest of the country at heart if they cannot have it for their strong militants in such a trying moment. He then urged the need to formulate more strategies to weed out the UDP remnants in the area.

Alhagie Jawneh, Kiang West’s constituency chairman said he was addressing the APRC rally presided over by the party leader after a long time in hiding due to the embarrassment he was battling with after President Jammeh’s last meeting in Jiffarong, Kiang West.

He however noted that they have changed, and to manifest this, he wants the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to start counting the election votes in Kiang West.

He urged his fellow Kiangas to be ready to vote en-mass for President Jammeh in the forthcoming Presidential Election, while applauding his development strides in the area.
