Endowed with a special dynamism in spite of the age, Djély Barou was hired volunteer for the reason of social peace in Mali. In accordance with his social function, he was a man of network. Of his living being, Djély Barou Dembélé was activist of the Malian society. He was member of several Malian associations.
These are: The N' association KB, the Association of the natives of Bamako (ANABA), the Association of the nationals of San, the Association of the griots of Mali, the national Union of the Muslims of Mali, etc. National member of the Council of the society, Djély Barou Dembélé was a close colleague of the office of the mediator of the Republic. It died of 70 years on January 26th, 2011 at 4 pm at the age. The lifting of body will take place at him in Titi-Bougou, near the Plant Mafa Haïdara, on Friday, January 28th, 2011, after the request of 13 hours.

De son vivant Djély Barou était de la catégorie des griots qui force le respect de ses concitoyens. Accroché à l’éthique et à la dignité du griot, il n’hésitait jamais de rappeler aux jeunes la conduite normale. Doté d’un dynamisme exceptionnel malgré son âge, Djély Barou était engagé volontaire pour la cause de la paix sociale au Mali. Conformément à sa fonction sociale, il était un homme de réseau. De son vivant, Djély Barou Dembélé était militant actif de la société civile malienne. Il était membre de plusieurs associations maliennes.
Ce sont : L’Association N’ko, l’Association des natifs de Bamako (ANABA), l’Association des ressortissants de San, l’Association des griots du Mali, l’Union nationale des musulmans du Mali, etc. Membre du Conseil national de la société civile, Djély Barou Dembélé a été un proche collaborateur du bureau du médiateur de la République. Il est décédé le 26 janvier 2011 à 16 heures à l’âge de 70 ans. La levée de corps aura lieu chez lui à Titi-Bougou, près de l’Usine Mafa Haïdara, le vendredi 28 janvier 2011, après la prière de 13 heures.
