Adopting the best practices of Vienna, Barcelona, and Tarragona, Spain, the
mayor of Paris commissioned 37 mimes to combat the noise pollution of late
night – and early morning – revelers in 15 neighborhoods. The “nocturnal
artistic intervention squads” will target lively individuals and put on
silent skits strongly suggesting that it’s best to quiet down.
