Aye Aye Cousin Demba. I didn't know you fled to Belgium too on account of Assad's threats against us. You thould ekthpekt eferytin. Eferytin. Let us ekthpekt him to account for all his kemicle weapons and dismantle them first before he uses them again, then we can consider his other crimes. Not to forrrget, the two crimes are distinctly separate - Manufacture and possession of illicit weapons AND aggravated murder by the use of such contraband (1,400 counts).

Thanks Demba for reminding us. WHere's Moribolong?? Haruna.

Cousin Haruna,

I can definitely keep Moribolong in check for you. I am just blocks away from his home so I would know how to corner him out at a Seahawks game... the tab would be on me... The questions actually were not rhetorical but meant to expand the discussion and I was hoping LJD, Moribolong and the new Jola kid in the block in New York my son Pa Saikou would weigh in as well... looking forward to more comments on the issue and it is amazing that Asad's cowardly gesture in surrendering his weapons after gassing his people may win him some support. I say he already gassed his people and tucking his tail between his legs should not safe him. He should be charged with genocide of course in addition to taking his weapons. These cowards think they can get away with murdering people and then acting like chicken. Sounds like Jammeh's EU threat... They are misreading the writings on the wall.

Thanks

Demba

Good morning Cousin Demba. Thanks for the opportunity to take a crack at your questions, if rhetorical.

Haruna. Now help me keep Moribolong away from the bridge near his home. (:

Thanks cousin Haruna always for the thoughtful responses. You nailed them... and hope we see a quicker resolution on not only handing over weapons but yield to pressure for power transition.

Good night or should I say good morning..

Demba

How dramatic is the situation in Syria becoming in the very eyes of the World. As the US strike on Syria appears imminent in the last week or so, things are becoming more dramatic as the world watch with skepticism of another war... Syria is reportedly willing to surrender its Chemical weapons through its friend Russia... The questions are criss cross my mind are:

Did the rumors of imminent US attack threatened Asad enough for him to yield?

YES as it should any criminal.

Should the world take him and Russia seriously on this diplomatic solution that they resisted for all this time?

YES, and we should verify.

Why should it really get to this for Asad to realize that he needs to yield some power?

Because he had the sympathy of some of us.

Did he learn a lesson from the Wars of Iraq, Libya etc?

Criminals are never chastened by history.

I think the world is watching an interesting history unfolding... While Obama is clearly reluctant to take the US to another war, the war mongers are at it again and journalists are having a field day again...

This is called the symphony of humanity.

It is past time for Asad to realize that he can only buy time for a while but th at nothing can safe him except respect for the rights of his people, allow a more democratic process etc...

I concur Demba. For Assad and all other dynasties, tyrants, and dicmatators/bullies. "You thould ekthpect eferythin. This region has many acthorrs, playarrs, ijeologies. You thould ekthpect eferythin"

Lesson to learn is that Qaddafi gave up his weapons and yet he was only able to buy time for a short period.... The only language dictators understand is the very instrument they use against innocent people...

Thanks. Demba
Thanks for the reflection Demba.
