Mr. Jatta:
I have never met Dr. Stovall, and never will be his supporter. I commend
Ebrima for initiating mass e-mailings for the college to rescind
invitations to Tombong and Yankuba.
I have always maintain politics of tolerance and understanding. I have
gone many places to debate Gambian representatives to the United States. I
met with Tombong and Grey-Johnson at the Gambian embassy in Washington,Dc.
My politics will never change, whether I agree or disagree with the enemy.
I will never subscribe to violence for the sake of democracy. We cannot
initiate another Sierra Leone in The Gambia. We are so small that when you
wound one, you affect the other.
Please stay tune. I will videotape my meeting with Gambians, and will send
you a copy if you need it. Politics should be based on understand and
realism. We cannot base our politics on mere fact of self-inflict wounds
that will affect us tremendously. Constructive engagement warrants a
revisit. We will achieve immensely if we are willing to seat and discuss
pertinent information. Politics of arrogance and lack of understanding
will never help us achieve anything.
Please stay tune. I will report my findings when I come back.
Naphiyo,
Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh
