Demmmbaaa?

Everything and everyone is doing just fine here despite a very challenging winter, temp and snow wise. However, I proudly still rock my birkenstocks despite the less than desireable conditions because it's the only way I can get through it.  I simply deny winter's existence with all my might and some how I am able to succeed kissing another chilly season good-bye without having to suffocate my body with extra layers. At some point, I will give up the "effort" and land my fanny to a much more suitable climate. I certainly wouldn't select soggy Seattle though:). Who wants to feel like a mop?

The new radio program sounds great - Do you record the programs and are they available to listen to? I think having Joe as a guest is a fantastic idea. He always makes any discussion rich so, if you can get him to do it, I think the public would definitely benefit.

(Joe if you are reading this...the above is my attempt to be nice. It's painful. I would feel less pain having a mammogram done by a twitchy, trigger happy medical student-FYI).

In all seriousness, I actually do miss Joe as well. He is all heart - all the time. He has a signature way that one doesn't forget. I hope you two are able to talk to each other soon. I would like to believe the past difference is dust between you too. The fat lady is singing here....just in case it is needed.

Yes, my guy will turn 13 Feb.25th and I need to come up with the gift and  good solid prank. The kid has been trying to get me by putting clear strapping tape across the door in three places in hopes I will run into it. What he doesn't know is if he leaves the light on, the light produces a shine on the tape so I catch that it is there. How is your handsome young man doing and his pretty sisters?   Best to your better half too. ---Chris

Chrissssss! Where have you been all these years. Gish I thought the taxes are so high in Wisconsin you have decided to move to Venezuela lol... Miss you so much on the L and YES we miss my cousin Haruna too.. The L is never the same without Chris and Haruna and of course Joe...

Hey just in case you see or talk to Joe tell him I apologize for the last episode... Hope we can have him on our 'New Gambia Program' broadcasting in Senegal through Almadina FM 98.8 directly into Banjul. I know he has supported doing that kind of programs in Senegal in the past... See as they say you don't know what you have until you miss it.... So yes, we miss all those strong voices on the L... Has social media overtaken the indomitable listserve...??? May be admins need to link all L members with their face book profiles.. just a thought... My regards to the big boy Hassan and the kidos cuz I know he is almost a teenager now...

Demba

This woman reminds me of a calm lake with no visible bottom - so serene and with so much depth. Her sound is so exquisitely rich, especially when she brings it in that captivating lower register, full bodied sound.  The acapella portion is too brief.  And if you notice the guitar player wiping his forehead...yeah I caught that too. There is only one queen on the stage pal!
