DUGA ATLANTA AND THE SENEGAMBIAN
COMMUNITY ORGANIZING A PRAYER VIGIL/CONFERENCE/DEMONSTRATION FOR ALH. IMAM BABA
LEIGH AND ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!!

 

The Democratic Union
of Gambian Activists (DUGA) in collaboration with other SeneGambian groups and
activists is organizing a Prayer vigil/Conference in Atlanta, Georgia for the
release of Alhaji Imam Baba Leigh and all prisoners of conscience in the Gambia
on Friday, December 28, 2012.  The event
will open with a prayer by Imams in the Atlanta community, to be followed by
keynote addresses from Tamsir Jasseh, Dr. Amadou  Scattred Janneh,   Ousainou Mbenga, Ambassador Essa Bokarr Sey,
community women leaders, and youth leaders. 

This will be followed
by a massive demonstration to be held in downtown Atlanta (in front of the CNN
building) on Saturday, December 29, 2012. As we continue to fight for the
liberation of our country, doing nothing is not an option.  We all therefore have to make it a point to
participate, otherwise we will have no one to blame for our plight but
ourselves. Below is the summary of the agenda:
