Thanx for sharing Suntou. I must say I find the calculus attributed to Wade to be terribly erroneous and sophomoric. I hope that is not his calculus, if it is, he will get the shock of his life and he will have destroyed Senegal as we know it. He should not count on the MFDC joining Gambia's Jolas against the Mandinkas. I thought Wade was smart, but helas, he will be gone before that eventuality. This must not be Wade's calculus. He should understand that the Jolas and Mandingos of Cassamance itself are neighbours and partners in their demands for a more equitable resource distribution for Cassamance. And beyond Yahya's limited personal interests, the Jolas and Mandingos of Gambia are historic partners and relations.

Something tells me Wade will review this calculus immediately and reconnoitre anew. I know he's sick. But he ain't that sick.

I do submit however that the on again off again Cassamance menace is of mutual short-term benefit to both Wade and Yahya.

Haruna. Thanx again for sharing The Gambiajournal. A standard of valuable commentary and news.

We tend to under estimate the influence of Cassamance dissidence presence in the Gambia. However, this eye witness account is frightening. How a Vehicle ship from Europe to Gambia ended up in rebel heartland in Cassamance and how the Gambian dictator and President Wadda are playing each other. Death politics
