Caesar, I have something else I need to fill you in on:

Remember when Idi Amin came to the end? He didn't have to invade his neighbor you know. But that made him a legend. If he did not escape death, he would have been a Martyr in Uganda. For his people. I encourage you to review those circumstances again.

Haruna.

Caesar you didn't get the joke in my notes. If you look at it again, I already told you in there that the national assembly is virtually cotrolled by Yahya. What I was trying to convey is that it doesn't matter who the letter was addressed to in Gambia. It could have been addressed to the courts or the Supreme Islamic Council for that matter. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHO IN GAMBIA THE LETTER IS ADDRESSED TO.

Caesar do you notice in the letter the G-6 asserted that they could not even confirm the murders-so-foul???????
And that is the truth. To the people who matter, that is more significant than who the letter is addressed to. I am looking forward to the G-6 (I mean G-5) Letter after they are able to confirm one way or the other whether the 9 have indeed been murdered. In essence, the G-6, I mean G-5 Letter is requesting the bodies of the 9 so their families could afford them proper burial if they were indeed killed. You understand we have a lot of missing people in Gambia who have been abducted by Yahya right? I think I need to stop here Caesar. This English language is not easy. It just doesn't explain stuff like Mandingo, Hal Pulaar, or Jola.

Later men. I encourage you to reflect a bit further. You have experienced more complicated stuff than this letter Caesar. All Rome came to you on Bended-knee. Even Marc Anthony.

 Haruna. I love you men.

Haruna,
The National Assembly has no power in that country. Writing to them for relieve is even more absurd. I have no faith in serial letter writing campaigns. What is the definition of insanity again?

For the umpteenth time, that letter was not written to Yahya Caesar. It was even more meant for the national assembly than it was for Yahya. And you know Yahya controls the national assembly!!!

I'd hate to be on a battlefield with you guys. You're just as bad as the G-6 or whatever.

Haruna.

Good for them (GMC) . No prevarification. Succinct and to the point. What is the point of writing letters outlining the constitutionality or lack thereof of yahya's barbaric actions? He has a ton of lawyers on payroll should he need legal advice. These guys (group of 6) now 5 need to get a new tack. Writing letters to Yahya is so played out. It is rather comical if the situation is not so dire.

GMC DISSOCIATES ITSELF FROM G6 LETTER TO THE AUTHORITIES

Let me express that GMC is a founder member of The Group of 6
opposition Parties (otherwise known as G6). We shall remain engaged
within this voluntary framework, working with our colleagues in the
opposition. We have participated at all G6 sessions, and we intend to
continue to do so in the future. We have no intention of withdrawing
from G6 unless circumstances require a review of the relevance of our
continuing membership in the Group. If such a need emerged, we shall
not hesitate to act and make our views public.

On the issue of the recent letter meant for the authorities on the
death penalty circulating online, GMC wishes to make it known crystal
clear that as much as we remain part of the G6 and ready to continue
to work on common issues, we do not subscribe to the contents of the
said letter. It does not carry our signature or endorsement. We have
no part to do with it.

GMC had expressed its views publicly in the media and during
consultations with diplomatic representatives of the international
community on both the death penalty and the executions. We do not see
the logic of writing to the National Assembly or Yaya Jammeh again on
this issue. We view it as the victim engaging or seeking help from his
wicked tormentor. The letter does not bear our mark, and G6 does not
speak for GMC in this instance. GMC will not engage the regime on the
death penalty. Our contention is that the death penalty had legally
expired by effluxion of time fifteen years ago, and what happened on
the 27th of August 2012 was murder most foul. We shall continue to
work with Gambians at home and around the world, the international
community and the coalition of the willing in legitimately
accelerating the end of the brutal regime in Banjul, and subjecting it
to international justice.

Mai Ahmad Fatty

 GMC Leader
