I wish the conversation starts like this at the earlier
stage, provoking

 intelligence
discussion than malicious one thanks to Rene and Bailo

for changing the discussion towards an intelligent manner
and I wish

it can continue like this. However, my opinion regarding the
problem

facing PDOIS is neither their policy nor their organizational
structure

but the way politic is structured since after the end of the
colonial era.

A larger number of people were not educated when PDOIS came
to

existence therefore, they will hardly notice the difference
between

communism and capitalism etc.

On the other hand, and if I may quote from the time of Progress,

Peace, and Prosperity (PPP) and United Party (UP); PPP was
profoundly

the Mandingoes party while UP was of mainly Wolof party.

(I think the reason behind
naming the party (UP) was the fact that, they

realized their minority status
and therefore, without uniting these two

tribes, they have no chance of
winning election) and hence the majority

 were Mandingoes, PPP
will always take the lead because that is what the

political platforms conveys (tribal politic). However, even
thus the party

Itself is Mandingo based the governing structure is Wolof
and Akus based

simply because, they were the educated ones at the time even
though they

are the minority. This is my opinion on why PDOIS is still
stagnating in getting

through to the main stream of our politic. Darbo is Mandingo
while Sarr, Sallah,

are taking to be wolof and Jatta as Jolo even thus he was
from mainly Mandingo society.

For-example, Hon Kebba Nyama Leigh and Famara Wasa Touray's
educational

standards was not enough to secured them a ministerial post
but because

they are Mandingoes as well, the party needs to return the Mandingoes

favour, as a result, favoritism pave its way into our party
politics and

governmental structure to bring about corruptions and
mismanagements.

The party will however, select the people’s choice as a
minister but the

day by day administrators who are Wolofs and Akus
respectively will favor

their own sons and daughters or close relatives in
governmental position

unqualified leaving the qualified one struggling from the
bottom.

Besides, this is the same reason we wanted Yahya Jammeh out
as our

president because he is not an experience or qualify person
to hold that post.

Therefore, and as far as there are more educated ones now
than it was,

and as we are fighting to minimize the corruption level, we
need to play

away the tribal and favoritism politic to replace with who
is qualify and

capable to unite the people as one, than politics of whom
you know or

associated to. In this way, I suppose, will bring about
progressive and effective

as well inclusive governing of our affairs hence there are
competent

and educated individuals in every tribe to a managing cridential.
