It was indeed a sad day to hear about the death of Mariama Cham. A dear sister and friend. Her generosity is legend. May Allah (SWT) shower her with the generosity and goodwill she showered on all who were fortunate enough to know this wonderful sister.
May He grant her a special place in Jannah.
My very sincere condolences to her family and friends.

To all fellow Gambians and friends of The Gambia , my dear friend-mentor-sister my first host when I first came to the USA was finally laid to rest in her home town of Sukuta, today , Friday May 15, 2009.
Mariama was well known for her generosity and warm personality. We continue to pray that Allah SWT will shower his mercy for her smooth transition to Jannah..

Her demise is a great loss to the Gambian community in the DC area and in The Gambia. I was fortunate to be here, in The Gambia  with the family  during this difficult moment.
