I love skeptics (I think!) and any theory which can not withstand a litle
jangling is not worth much. At the same time one needs to really understand
a specific theory in order to effectivly deconstruct it and promote furthur
refinement. The idea of "Paleo" living is being explored in many areas with
fascinating results. Daniel Quinns books (Ishmael, story of B, My Ishmael)
all take an anthropological look at why we treat ourselves and world the way
we do and why for millions of years a very different way of living was the
norm. some basic recomendations which we may infer from our ancestors which
might improve our lives: We need community, more protein, less carbs, lots
of vegetables and some seasonal fruit, play hard and then rest, sleep in the
dark frolic in the sun. If these concepts are institutionalized and
marketed it does not change the potential for good they can bring to our
lives.
