For any members that may be in need of using the Good Cheer Food Bank, it  
has been reported that Good Cheer has one pound bags of Arrowhead Mills Wild  
Rice Pancake and Waffle mix, which is GF. They also have Rice Flour portioned  
out into quart size baggies. These items are located in the same aisle as the  
sugar, flour, and other grains.
 
There were 16 people present at the April 20th meeting where Maureen Wild  
gave a presentation entitled - Food Allergies & Your Quality of Life. The  
discussion was excellent from all who attended. Please also be sure to thank  
Payless for donating some gluten-free items made by Alternative Grains, Inc out  of 
Coupeville. Free samples of Bob's Red Mill GF Hot Cereal was also  available.
 
The Clinton FoodMart has a listing at the checkout showing the aisles that  
contain their various gluten-free items. The Star Store in Langley seems to be  
interested in putting a list together as well. The Good Cheer Food Bank is 
also  interested.

The next Whidbey Island GIG meeting is scheduled for Sunday,  May 18th at 2pm 
- 3:30pm. It will be held at the Freeland Library. The topic is  - 
Gluten-Free Grains and How to Use Them. The grains to be discussed will be  teff, 
millet, sorghum, quinoa, and buckwheat. If there are other grains you  would like to 
share, please bring the information along. Sample recipes will be  shared. 
Please bring your own recipes to share also!
