Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who responded to my question.(
Should my brother have bloodwork or an endoscopy to test for CD)

The response seemed to be split down the middle. Half said that he should go
have the bloodwork first, it's not always definite, but it may give some
insight. The other half said just go for the endoscopy, it will give a definite yes
or no, and regardless, it may show any other problems that are going on.

He is going to see my Doctor, the GI who diagnosed me. He is a wonderful man,
very intelligent and has the best bedside manner I have ever encountered. (If
anyone lives near Philly and is interested, let me know! lol) Seeing as my
brother has a sibling with CD, the doctor has decided to forgo the initial
consult and bloodwork so as not to waste any time and just go ahead with the
endoscopy! I don't know if he would had done so if my brother was asymptomatic. So
Red (brother) is scheduled for the 24th of July and he's pretty nervous, but I
know he'll do fine. He told me to tell yous thank you for all of your info and
if he is diagnosed he'll be joining the list!
Thanks again,
Jill
