"Starch" as in the older version of Tylenol apparently is another of those
terms, like "maltodextrin" that I thought the FDA had a precise definition
of. Starch was supposed to be made only from corn.

Does the FDA have the authority to enforce its definitions of these terms
for food ingredient labeling?  If so then lets get those definitions
together here: it's time consuming enough to track down the  ingredients
known to be ambiguous. If not, well there's going to be a representative
from the FDA at the upcoming meeting in Baltimore. Questions from the floor
are certainly in order.
