Point well taken but one "squeaky wheel" might not only garner little
attention from Dateline but be totally discarded if the the message is poorly
worded and the content is provocative and uses loaded terminology.

I continue to believe that the issue we are dealing with should be perceived
as a larger problem than one posed by one company (PG).The problem is that we
as a large group have a significant health problem based upon special dietary
needs. We can eat fresh foods and we can eat processed foods (all that are
GF). We are left with the situation of food labeling, as it pertains to our
use of processed foods and other products produced by various companies. We
depend upon the good will and understanding of individuals and the companies
they represent. The laws, apparently, regarding labeling are inadequate for
our particular needs, though not totally so.

We have all called companies and shared our information with each other on
this list. In the last several weeks, we have seen a tendency for companies
to "write us off." In my last e-mail, I suggested collaborative effort by our
organizations, whichever they might be, to speak for us with companies and
with governmental agencies to effect change.

There are several organizations both in this country and internationally who
represent and speak for their populations with specific health problems.
Though our problems are different than those with other health conditions, we
need a united organization that would have the clout to represent us. We
believe that the media will listen to an organization, but may ignore
individual requests for attention/help.
