I'm new to the list, so I don't know if this has been asked.

What cooking oils are safe? I've read very conflicting reports on
canola oil. I've read that it is safe, but I seem to have stomach upset
when I use it. What about Cottonseed Oil or Rapeseed (or are these the
same thing)? I eat potato chips fried in cottonseed oil and do not have
problems. Can't seem to find a company that sells cottonseed oil.

I know that using vegetable oil is unsafe if the ingredients aren't
listed. You don't know where the oils are derived from.

If anyone knows about the safety of cooking oils for the celiac diet,
please let me know.

I'll summarize answers.

Thanks,
Connie
