I am a woman. It is not all that I am, but it is a significant part of my
makeup as a person. I am a celiac. Neither are the consequences of the
condition all that I am but it, also, has a significant effect on me as a
person. I find being called a celiac about as insulting as I find being
called a woman, which is to say, not at all. I'm baffled by those who are
uncomfortable being "labeled" a celiac.
