AMEN for Joanne Eggleston's sugar cookies.  They are magnificient not just for
 Christmas but for year around.  I just completed making 3 dozen and am anxious
  to make more---to try adding nuts, and other variations.  They are better
  than any commercial cookies I have ever tasted.  Will double recipe next
  time because family thinks they are excellent too.  Happy holidays.
