A couple of weeks ago I inquired about the status of Mori-Nu Silken Tofu,
which has an ingredient "gluconolactone", which the label states is a food
starch. Several people have asked me what I found out, since they use this
product also.

Two responders told me that they thought that it was derived from
cornstarch, and I just confirmed that by telephone.

Good news for celiacs, bad news for those of us sensitive to corn as well as
wheat. It just seems like *everything*, (even tofu!) has to have corn in it
these days.
