I've recently started dating someone who wants to take me to a french restaurant where his friend works. I get scared eating at new places because of the gluten free issue. I dont really know what kind of food french food is, i've heard there's a lot of sauce involved. Does anyone know what type of food french food is and if it's celiac safe? The last new restaurant i went to i just got a steak and they brought it out with crunchy onions on it after i told them of my allergy. by the time they brought out a new one all my friends were done with their meals. experiences like that make me never want to go to group dinners again. so any advice on what to tell people would be helpful.
Thanks,
Kate
