I found this article on vaccines as a treatment for immunologic diseases

It discusses different methods of using vaccines to prevent or treat
immune-mediated diseases.  I find this a very interesting and hopeful
approach to treating autoimmune diseases.  I have been in contact with a
friend who also has ITP (Immune thrombocytopenia purpura) who has been
persuing this course of research with a hematologist at John Hopkins.  I
believe the paper work has been submitted and hopefully it will be
approved and the clinical study will start soon.
