Dear listmates,
A conversation last fall with a Tucson acquaintance who knew about
celiac, concerned the commercial development of salt-tolerant
(halophyte) grains. This let me to inquire about current status of
commercial development of this gluten-free species (Distichlis
palmeri), imported to Australia from the lower Colorado River valley
of Arizona and California:

I received this reply (excerpted) - which I share FYI. I have no
commercial interest in this company or product, though I wish them
well.
