Hi everyone! I just thought I'd pass on this idea I learned from the book
"Protein Power Life Plan".
They have a lasagna recipe I tried that worked really well. Instead of
using noodles you use cooked/steamed strips of cabbage! Make sure the
cabbage is tender. I would also suggest that instead of strips use squares
the size of your servings.(my preference, makes easier slicing) Then you
make your lasagna as usual but make sure the filling is not juicy but fairly
thick. You do layers of :cabbage, meat/tomato filling, cheeses, cabbage,
meat, cheese. Bake covered at 350 for 20 minutes and then remove cover and
bake an additional 5 minutes. Worked really well, and we all enjoyed it.
For a 9 X 13 pan you will need about 1/2 - 3/4 a medium sized head of
cabbage and 1lb. ground beef.
Caroline
