Our two-year-old son is a real challenge. He has been diagnosed with
dysphasia and sensitivity problems. The diagnosis helped us to realize
that he was exhibiting early autistic behaviors. We've been taking him
weekly to therapy and seemed to be making progress. In late March to
mid-April, we became concerned about how he was stumbling, falling and
bumping into things around the house. Talking with another parent at
therapy led us to try a GF/CF diet. We noticed almost immediate relief
of many of the autistic symptoms. However...

He still exists on a very limited diet; mostly a home-made custard of
soy-based creamer, egg yolks, sugar and some corn starch. (We were
including soy protein powder, but we now believe that he is intolerant
of that, too.) He will drink orange juice, selected other juices, water
and soda pop. He cannot tolerate foods with any "texture" or which are
"chunky".

Does anyone have experience with a child like this? What worked and
didn't work? And most importantly, does anyone have a recipe for a
milkshake-like drink to offer him which is high calorie and fully
nutritious? He is quite coordinated but cannot feed himself enough
custard before becoming frustrated. Such a drink would allow him to feed
himself until he begins to accept solid foods.

Any help would be appreciated.
