Hello,
I am new to this list and I am in read need of some advice. My mother,
who is 63 years old, has been sick for almost 2 years. She has been on
a special diet to treat candidas and in the process she has consumed
alot of spelt flour and other foods which contain gluten. She now has
lost almost 40 pounds (30 too much!), she has diarrhea constantly, she
has tingling in her arms, legs and head (fuzzy head feeling), her skin
is like leather and she can very little food without getting diarrhea
and a very upset stomach. Last week she saw a new doctor who thinks
that she has celiac disease and as a result she is very malnourished.

After doing much reading about the disease, it makes total sense to me,
sounds like she has some very extreme symptoms. We are now waiting to
see a specialist and get the proper test done. My mother has been
advised to stay away from gluten for now. My question is this, does
anyone have any ideas as to what types of foods my mother could
tolerate? I though maybe rice pabulum would work but the ingredients say
it contains malt extract and soybean lecithin..are these OK for her to
eat? My mother is really quite desperate to find foods that she knows
is safe for her to eat and her stomach will tolerate. Any and all
advice would be very much appreciated.

Thank you,
Johanna
