My internist reviewed the results of my latest (almost-3-year) biopsy with
me today. In the midst of the medical gobbledygook was somthing that
referred to "blunted villi consistent with celiac disease."
My eating goal since diagnosis has always been "no tolerance," and I've had
only two violent reaction episodes (last December) since I was diagnosed in
1996. So, does this mean there's something slipping through, or does it
simply mean that I went undiagnosed so long (50+ years) that the villi were
permanently impaired?
Or is it anything to be concerned about? Should there be further follow-up?
Sometimes I do think that indeed "a little learning is a dangerous thing ..."
