Am I the only one who didn't notice that there is a line of salad dressings,
Annie's Naturals, that actually says, "Gluten-free" on the label? Not all
flavors say it...and I haven't tasted them yet. But I bought about six
different kinds to try.

There is an address on the bottles and a phone number:
Foster Hill Road, North Calais, Vermont 05650. Ph. 1-800-434-1234.

Has anyone used them? They are more expensive than common brands.
I bought them at Shop-Rite in Marlton, New Jersey, U.S.A.
I've been being risky, and usually use Paul Newman's and some of Ken's,
without doing anything more than reading the label.... (a no-no) accepting
the distilled vinegar in them as if it was safe. But, just because I didn't
get sick, doesn't mean they're o.k. for everyone.

I was thrilled to see the words on Annie's bottles!

If Annie's can label her bottles, why can't the big guys?!!

Cooking suggestion: I marinate London broil or strip steak in salad dressing
overnight before barbecuing. I'll let frozen steak defrost overnight in the
refrigerator in the dressing. Just watch out for flare-ups on the grill. I
broil marinated meat too, but not too close to the broiler element or the
meat will catch fire...Salad dressing leaves an oily film. Use fat-free for
lower calories and less oil.
