This is the super simplified version of what I offered a few weeks ago.

Set out a glass that will hold about 8 oz water. Get out some salt and put a pinch of it in the water. Stir and taste. Can you taste salt? If not, drink the glassful. If it turns salty, stop, you have enough sodium for now. When you are feeling tired, unfocused, stressed, run down, or sleepy in the daytime, you may simply have low blood pressure. This trick will perk you right up at those times. If you are under long term stress, you may need to do this every few hours, or eat lots of salty food.
Get out some Epsoms salts. Put a pinch in about 8 oz water, stir and taste. Is it bitter? If not, drink it. Stop when it turns bitter, that tells you that you have enough for now. If it doesn't turn bitter before you have drunk it all, try it again later in the day. If the solution actually tastes sweet, you are so low in Magnesium that you may want to try this 3-4 times in a day. When you have your system topped up with Mg, it will turn bitter more quickly. Low Mg levels cause a dry mouth and bladder urgency. Very low Mg levels cause short term memory loss and insomnia. It'll probably fix most kids that wet the bed. Most Americans are short of Mg, and celiacs are generally quite deficient. Lowers blood pressure.
You can try acids too. Use vinegar or lemon juice, a Tablespoon in 8 oz water. If it tastes good, you need it. If not, you don't. If your energy is low but salt doesn't help, especially if you are feeling stiff or achy, acid may be what you need. The fibromyalgia people almost always need acid. Lowers blood pressure.

That's it, ultra simple taste testing to control your own blood pressure, not to mention a whole lot of other symptoms. I sent out the long version to at least a hundred people who requested it, but I don't think anyone has tried it yet! It's EASY, and it's incredibly useful. You can often feel changes in about 90 seconds when you correct electrolyte levels. Back in the bad old gluten days, I would walk around in a fog, half asleep and unfocused. I'd get "attacks" of weakness that would take me 2 days to recover from. One day when an attack hit me, a client said, "I know what's wrong with you." She got her salt out of her purse and put some in water. I was fine in 90 seconds. Been using this technique ever since.
