Hi listmates - I am a very recently diagnosed celiac with a wife (of almost 42 years) who is a wonderful cook (you can imagine how I used to eat). She is trying very hard to adapt recipes to meet my needs, and in fact is doing very nicely. She would like to know if cognac, brandy, and/or kahlua, if used in recipes, would be o.k. for me. I don know that brandy and cognac are fruit based, but the "other" ingredients...?
As you can imagine, I am having some difficulty in finding out just what I can and what I cannot tolerate, and am thankful I have found this very informative forum.
Milt from south-central Virginia
