I apologize if you misunderstood my comment.  It was aimed at the "I know
I'm gluten intolerant, but should I find a doctor to tell me I have cd"
group.

My son went through something similar to yours, although not as sick.  The
doctors gave us bad advice and when we listened, he'd get worse.  So I
used an elimination diet to find his problems and we may never know for
sure if he (and his dad and brother) have cd, or some other type of gluten
intolerance.  But, we don't have to fight the insurance companies- just
the doctors who are clueless in his case.
