I meet the Abbotts at a Nord Conference...2 years ago.. I run a resource
Library for a Parent Support group forfamilies with special needs
kids...Kids books are an interest of mine..so I do get asked to come & read
at schools, scouts etc. in the area... our school librarians all work in 4
books per grade each year into the books they read the classes which deal
with differences, acepptance etc. I also have a book review next months
Exceptional Parent on Kids Books...They are not all great--but there are
more & more available these days..Here is the list of what I have in my
Library at this point...
Is it possible to get a copy of that resource guide for our library? I love
your book idea--We did a similar start at a sibsshop a few years ago..where
we asked sibs to find a story they liked & add their sibling into
it..retelling the story...They really came out great..Some day Don Myers
will use them in one of his books..as it was run with him. If you have
suggestions of other good books to add...I'm always looking for titles...Joy
