Kathy Jo,

We've got a hand blender, made by Black and Decker, I think, that might
do the trick.  For the most part, it's one piece.  It does have a cord,
although they might make a battery powered one by now, as ours is at
least  7 1/2 years old (Janet had it while we were dating).  It's great
for milkshakes, instant pudding, whipping cream, etc.
