as kendall has said there are many who believe that
G_D controls every thing that happens.
  i personally believe that G-D puts in 3 cups of
ingrediantsss. 1 cup of "freewill" meaning he gives
all us adults the choice of what to do. or we control
some things. 1 cup of predestination meaning that he
says no matter what you do, i am aiming to work things
out to this desired outcome. 1 last cup of
foreknowledge meaning that he knows what we are going
to choose and where he wants us to end up so he weaves
the 1st two together for our good if we'll trust him
to do so.
