I think they are correct. Several years from now, Mary will be a teenager, and may well say "i'm too old for a stroller!" At some point she will have to Accept the fact that she's got a disability, and get on with living life fully as a wheelchair user.
Thanks,
Tamar

Subject: Stroller or wheel chair for mild CP?
In another group some parents thought I should be looking at funding a wheel chair instead of a stroller. Mary is 9, 52 inches tall and weighs 50 pounds . She has mild CP and right side weakness, plus cognitive delays. She prefers a stroller when asked. Any thoughts or experiences?
Thanks,
John Runer
