yes kathy. if the dr had checked my mom and dad's blood type, they would have
known to be careful.  of course in 1956 they didn't have blue lights or other
treatment for bilirubin like my little niece got because she had the same
problem as me. my count was sky high, hers was not as high, so she is fine.
