Ken,

I'd read that she'd been denied communion while the feeding tube was
still in place because of the risk that she'd choke, but denying her
last rites is inhuman; even if she had a written advance directive in
place, it wouldn't violate it.

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Subject: Deny Last Rites TO Terri Schiavo??

Judy just heard on radio that Terri Schiavo would not
even be allowed last rites becouse the little bit of
wine and waffer would be technically food and drink.
for you who are of any religious beliefs, you have got
to find this to be appaling. i think this is just
horrible no matter what the position you have on the
feeding tube issue. .
