I'm glad I've got just the one as I'm not sure I could look out for two or more furballs at the same time!  The funny thing is, Lucy-cat won't eat when I'm home unless I'm in the kitchen with her.  It's weird.  But she does eat when I'm not home.  Go figure.  But in any case, it's mainly inconvenient when I'm trying to cook dinner and her tail's in the way.  I have to nudge at her with my foot.
