oh mama mia! I deal with the news media regularly and we put out news
releases. When people want to get their point across they use talking
points. The news releases make these points. Of course it's real
news. They all say the same thing because you hold a press conference
and the media show up with their cameras and film and print shows up
and listens and radio records and then they put out the story. They
confirm the facts that we've given them but It's our story.
It sounds like you are saying if every station reports 15 boys report
sexual abuse at the hands of a church leader that it's not real news
because they all reported it the same way. Oh and they didn't report
on the 9,000 boys not abused by a church leader. Because that is a non story.
Generals are supposed to be in favor of a war, that's their job. When
they start publicly defecting from the war line, that is news, no
matter how you wish to denigrate them. They are/were generals and are
entitled to a voice, even a dissenting one. Do you only watch Fox.
Now that is not news. Try democracy now or npr for a mind opening
experience.
